APRIL FULL

april has been a quiet month for this space of mine. that's largely due to my extreme inertia to even face the pc. the back-breaking aches and pain are also a great deterrent.

in the real world however, april has been a fabulously colourful month. i shall attempt to sum up some of the more meaningful events that took place.

*THE DAY I GOT A YEAR WISER*

my big two-nine was celebrated in the form of a quiet pasta and seafood dinner with the hubster (after which we had to settle with going home cos i wasn't doing too well post-dinner). trying to emanate a "romen"-tic aura is a bleak task when you are heaving like a kuda sempot, walking like a ketam tempang, and getting a simpul biawak every 5 metres . nevertheless, since spaghetti vongole saved the day, i wasn't about to whine about the steam-kering nature of the rest of the birthday evening.

hubster said i don't look anything like my real age. hmm ok lor. can save money mah, no need to use botox. then again, even he doesn't look his age. teehee!

*THE DAY THE BRO FINALLY GREW UP*

my younger brother finally got rid of his commitment issues and "choped" himself a future wife! the engagement ceremony was humorous and lively; the bride-to-be beaming with radiance. that was what i heard anyway from my two sisters (the ones in the picture with future sil) since i was, again, not very mobile to be travelling with the entourage of relatives to witness the engagement ceremony. another steam-kering moment for me.

my favourite bit of the gift spread? it was the pink striped fresh flower cake that i ordered from simplyayu. very lawa-nak-mampos kan? so pretty that my aunts thought it was a decorative item. :p anyway, congrats to the bro. time to scrimp and save like mad. and i promise i'll be a very good sister-in-law. none of that conniving kakak ipar nonsense. that one very suriachannel.

*THE DAY TENGKUCHIK ARRIVED*

remember the hudds? *quick flashback photo*

well, their daughter has arrived - every inch an arian baby, just like the godma! :D

introducing tengku tiara laetisha bte tengku hudd. her parents call her tisha. i call her tengkuchik. the third instalment to my godchildren brood. her mummy's doppelganger at birth. although now she's beginning to resemble more of her abah.

her favourite "surrender" position. plus she mews like a kitten. cute sekali!

the other 2 godchildren of mine? they were there too, of course.

iman and aniq. <3

the hubby trying to practise handling 2 babies simultaneously. alahai... :p

babies. what's there not to love about them?

*THE DAY MY UNBORN ONES HAD THEIR FIRST PARTY*

some lovely people got together and organised a baby shower for the dudes in my tummy. ah what can i say... great food, an even greater company, not to mention the gorgeous gifts! it was a good friday indeed. :)

"thank you aunties, we boys really appreciate all that wonderful effort. both of us promise to allow all of you to pinch our cheeks as much as you want when we come out soon!"

speaking of coming out soon, i am currently on a serious bedrest. not going anywhere except to the hospital for my weekly check-ups. i'm in my 35th week and the boys are actually reaching their 2kg mark soon - which means i have the choice of a natural delivery and not the dreaded c-sect. i'm amazed and thankful to God to have reached this far, really. a 4kg baby load for this tiny mummy is quite a miracle.

the cots have been assembled, the necessary shopping completed, the baby laundry done (2 matching pieces of everything!)...

all i can do now is WAIT.
