BIG BOYS



happy 1st birthday, sayang!

mum-meh loves you both very much. you'll grow up to be good sons, Insya Allah.

we have some celebration to do later, don't we? (nevermind mummy's pending exam load. and nevermind that you can't eat cake yet.)

if you think mummy's rendition of your first birthday song sounded good on the phone just now, wait till you hear it live at omah's place later! mummy's waaaaaaaay better than your peberet uncle barney! :p

PARTY POOPERS

my damdils are turning one in seven days.

and we haven't planned anything!

very lazy and unmotivated parents we are, no?

actually we are not very keen on having a party. not a major one anyway.

cos we think the two dudes cannot appreciate a full blown out party yet. dorang belom tau jalan pon! and they are actually only eleven months old on their birthday... tak cukup umur, tsk!

the hubs and i think it would be better for us to reserve the big she-bang for their 2nd birthday. the twins would be better 'equipped' to handle the demands of the party! ceh, demands seh... i think they would remember the event better, plus we parents get ample time to save up, LOL!

maybe a nice dinner with both sets of grandparents would suffice. since the twins now have two teeth each (like FINALLY), i'm sure there is *something* on the menu that they can gnaw on. :B

the question is, which halal restaurant? it's like we've run out of options! hmm must think harder on this one... (note to self: must be gentle on the pockets too. :p)

perhaps a mini (and i mean, mini) celebration during the june hols wouldn't hurt. it will give a chance for the 77clanaunties to pin clips in the twins' hair (which i've tried by the way, and yes, they look like girls!! tak boleh angkat!)

ok better start recceing for that elusive, baby-cum-pocket-friendly restaurant. craving for japanese food actually (eh ni party untuk anaknye ke maknye?) but alas the pils don't really take well to the idea of sushis, chawanmushis and udons! macam mana nehhh...

ANGRYHORNYMOB

in class today, a chair flew over my head and landed in front on the classroom, missing a girl's head and my (flabbergasted) face by a few inches.

in class today, 2 boys got into a murderous fist-fight over a bag that had fallen to the floor. too bad nobody had broken bones.

in class today, a boy boasted to his classmates about his close "brush" with an unsuspecting girl's bosom at some playground. not a hint of shame or remorse, only a morbidly misplaced sense of pride.

in class today, a male student asked me, "cher, can i borrow your body?" i don't even know where to begin with that one.

in class today, a student told me, "cher, do you know most of the kids our age are not v/i/r/g/i/n/s anymore?" yes, i know, but it's a painful thought to bear. you people are 13/14 for goodness' sake! kencing baru nak straight, you know??

in class today, 3 curious buggers asked me, "cher, your husband's s/p/e/r/m must be strong ah! so strong can break your egg into two, give you twins! tell us lah what he eats, we also want our tadpoles to be superman!"

sigh.

i fear for my damdils. i really do. i pray they'll grow up to be sensible, decent children who are able to distinguish between right and wrong, and who THINK before they speak (and they better not have any anger management issues!). i hope they grow up respecting others (and themselves), and don't behave in any way that deserves one big pelangkong from me in the future.

the future generation is one big scary mob. it's sad when you can't help other people's kids, even sadder when it's your *own* kids you can't mould.

tomorrow is yet another day for the angryhornymob and i. what other (mis)adventures, i can only imagine.
